About JoAnn

      JoAnn has grown up in Las Vegas Valley and is a licensed provider of Preschool and daycare since 1987. Her group care facility for children ranging from birth to 12 years of age has been accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)for 7 years.
      She has worked with 100's of children and their parents. She also currently serves as a Board Member for the State of Nevada Child Care Licensing Bureau. She and her late husband, Roy Worthen were married for 25 years and raised 4 children. She has remarried, Ed Nelson and between them, they now have 12 children ages 12 to 30 years, with only 4 left living at home. They are blessed with 14 grandchildren.
      As owner of "HANDS-ON-4-KIDS Early Childhood Trainings" she as been teaching classes approved by licensing and the Nevada Registry for the past 7 years. She has been a Love and Logic facilitator over 6 of those years. Because of her work in behalf of children she has been nominated and awarded "Outstanding Early Childhood Professional of the Year" through the Southern Nevada NAEYC. JoAnn loves teaching well researched material with insight gained from working "in the trenches" over 30 years. She shares her special teaching techniques through personal stories, love, logic, creativity and a lot of "Hands-On-Minds-On" fun!
